Flexible Tray Handling Machine
A vision-guided tray handling platform engineered for high-mix inspection,
sorting, and tray-to-tray placement in electronics manufacturing.
Designed for stable and repeatable tray operations, the system integrates
automated feeding, inspection, rejection, and tray stacking within a
fully systemized control architecture.
System Overview
The Flexible Tray Handling Machine is designed to automatically inspect,
sort, and place components into trays with minimal manual intervention.
Components are fed via a vibratory bowl feeder and processed through a
vision-based inspection workflow.
The system supports stacked tray input and output, enabling continuous
operation while maintaining precise orientation control and placement
accuracy.
Process Flow
Trays containing components with the ball side facing upward are manually
placed into the tray stacking buffer, supporting up to 20 trays.
Once the cycle is initiated, the system automatically retrieves a tray
and transfers it to the inspection station.
Components are inspected by the CCD vision system. Defective parts are
rejected at the front of the linear feeder, while qualified components
are picked and accurately placed into the target tray.
Upon completion of a full tray, the system automatically transfers it
back to the stacking area. The process repeats continuously to support
stable, unattended operation.
